Your data should be backed up every day in case something happens to your
computer. The backed up data should be removed from the office. There are
various ways to back up your data:
| Removable hard drives - this is the recommended way of doing
backups. For medium sized data bases, smaller drives, such as Zip drives or
thumb drives are
satisfactory. |
| Tapes - this requires special tape software, which comes with your
tape back-up drive. This is harder to automate and you must know more about
what you are doing. |
